During the second Fair of prevention and safety, today marks the European Mobility Week in Prelog. The fair is organized by the Council for the Prevention of the Međimurje County, the Međimurje Police Department and the Međimurje County in the sports and recreation center DG Sport.
As part of the European Mobility Week a competition called “Safe and skillfully in traffic” – cycling at the training ground for children fifth grade of elementary schools from Prelog was conducted. The Croatian Automobile Club, Red Cross, Department of Public Health of Međimurje County and Međimurje Police Department all presented their work.
For its duration the Matije Gupca street was closed for motor vehicles to reduce air pollution, and to ensure more space for living, not driving. In a closed street children drew on the road and hung out, and on the training course played with cars in a fun way to learn about the proper participation in traffic. For the youngest visitors from the kindergarten a joint exercise was organised.
